Caron Engineering was established in 1986.  Our smart manufacturing products are sold worldwide and interface with nearly any CNC machine tool on the market, irrespective of builder. Our products utilize high precision sensors, and high speed data processing units to make real-time automated adjustments, optimize machining, and provide valuable information about the cutting process and health of the machine.  All systems have custom drivers for seamless communication with shop floor automation software.

As a Partner in Thinc, Caron Engineering works closely with Okuma and their Dealers to provide standard products such as our Tool Monitoring Adaptive Control (TMAC) system and AutoComp software. We also provide customized software solutions that take advantage of the open architecture of the Thinc Control.

CEI is an approved vendor under the DMGMSQP Program. This an exclusive arrangement to provide our TMAC System as a standard feature on DMG/Mori Seiki machines. Caron Engineering and DMG/Mori Seiki have worked together to provide a simple Ethernet Interface eliminating the need for excessive wiring.

OMIC R&D is an innovation research collaborative established with Boeing leadership worldwide, and the first Boeing has sponsored in the United States. Its mission is to bring together manufacturing companies and higher education in an innovative environment to solve the advanced manufacturing challenges facing industry.
